As the UK gears up to celebrate 80 years since VE day, Sky News can showcase the latest immersive technology that brings the experience to life in your own home.
The Augmented Reality (AR) software, developed by Atlantic Productions and the Imperial War Museum, lets you explore the stories and hear the voices of those who were there.
It puts photos from the day into your own environment and within each one you can hear powerful testimony and see the day from several different perspectives.
Click here for the augmented reality experience (only on your smartphone) and then point the camera at a nearby surface like a table.
