Around 150 firefighters have responded to a large blaze at a warehouse in west London.
London Fire Brigade (LFB) has sent 25 fire engines to the incident on Bridge Road, Southall. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
The fire service added in a statement: “The fire is located in a two-storey structure consisting of a warehouse and retail space.
“Around three-quarters of the structure is currently alight. Three of the Brigade turntable ladders have been deployed to scene, allowing crews to fight the fire from height.”
Residents in the area were advised by the LFB to keep doors and windows closed “due to the large amount of smoke being produced by the incident”.
The LFB said that traffic in the area would “also be impacted”.
First reports of the fire were received at 8.55am, the LFB added.
