Irish police are investigating the death of three people following a “serious incident” in County Louth.
Emergency crews were called to a house in Tallanstown on Monday morning, where the bodies of two men and a woman were discovered.
A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with the incident. Police say an investigation is ongoing.
The suspect is currently being detained at a station in the Garda North West Region under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
The incident is believed to be self-contained as the force is not looking for anyone else.
Police said in a statement: “Investigations are ongoing. [We] have no further information at this time.”

The scene has been locked down for forensic work.
The offices of the coroner and state pathologist have been notified.
Pearse McGeough, Sinn Fein councillor for the Louth and the Ardee/Mid-Louth area, posted on X: “Very sad news coming out of Tallanstown this morning.
“I would ask people not to speculate until we know the facts. Our thoughts are with the friends, family and the community.”
