Armed police have locked down an Edinburgh neighbourhood amid reports of a “man with a bladed weapon”.
Emergency crews, including firearms officers, were deployed to the Calder area of the Scottish capital on Monday morning.
The incident remains ongoing, with members of the public urged to avoid the area.
No reports of injuries have been made at this time.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The public is being advised to avoid the Calder area of Edinburgh following reports of a man with a bladed weapon.
“Police, including firearms officers, are in attendance.”
