The late sex trafficking victim Virginia Giuffre alleged in her memoir that Prince Andrew was “entitled” and “believed having sex with me was his birthright”.

Prince Andrew accuser details encounters with ‘entitled’ royal in posthumous memoir

In a posthumous book, Nobody’s Girl, Ms Giuffre details her alleged sexual encounters with the Duke of York when she was 17, which have been previously reported.

Prince Andrew has always denied the allegations.

She also describes her manipulation by Jeffrey Epstein, who took his own life while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges, and Ghislaine Maxwell, who was jailed for recruiting young girls for Epstein.

In extracts, reported in The Guardian and The Times, Virginia Giuffre said she was introduced to Andrew in March 2001 while staying at Maxwell’s house near Hyde Park, London.

She wrote: “Maxwell woke me up that morning by announcing in a sing-songy voice: ‘Get out of bed, sleepyhead!’ It was going to be a special day, she said. Just like Cinderella, I was going to meet a handsome prince!”

She added that when she met Andrew, he correctly guessed she was 17 and told her: “My daughters are just a little younger than you.”

Ms Giuffre was keen to take a photograph of the encounter.

That image, showing him with his arm around Giuffre, has become infamous. The duke later claimed the picture had been doctored.

Ms Giuffre wrote in her memoir about visiting a nightclub with Andrew: “He was sort of a bumbling dancer, and I remember he sweated profusely.”

That claim was strongly denied by Andrew, who said in a 2019 Newsnight interview that he suffered from a condition which meant he was unable to sweat.

When they returned to the house, Ms Giuffre claimed in the memoir that she ran Andrew a bath before they had sex.

“He was friendly enough, but still entitled – as if he believed having sex with me was his birthright,” she wrote. She added: “In my memory, the whole thing lasted less than half an hour.”

She wrote Epstein paid her $15,000 for “servicing the man the tabloids called ‘Randy Andy'”.

The memoir includes two other alleged sexual encounters with the duke, including in New York a month later and on Epstein’s private island in the US Virgin Islands when she was around 18.

The extract describes the latter as an “orgy” with “approximately eight other young girls” who “appeared to be under the age of 18”.

In the 2019 Newsnight interview, Andrew denied claims that he slept with Ms Giuffre. In 2022, Andrew and Ms Giuffre settled out of court in her civil sex assault claim against him.

He stated: “I can absolutely categorically tell you it never happened. I have no recollection of ever meeting this lady, none whatsoever.”

He said the alleged encounter in 2001 did not happen because he had spent the day with his daughter, Princess Beatrice, taking her to Pizza Express in Woking for a party.

In September, it emerged Andrew’s ex-wife had called Epstein a “supreme friend” in an email. Sarah, Duchess of York, had written an apology to the sex offender for disowning him in the media.

Her spokesperson said the message was written because he had threatened to sue her for defamation. The duchess was dropped by a number of charities she had been a patron of.

Peter Mandelson was also recently sacked by Sir Keir Starmer after it was discovered the British ambassador to the US had also sent messages to Epstein, calling him “my best pal”, after he was jailed awaiting sex trafficking charges.

The Duke of York has been contacted for comment about the latest allegations in Ms Giuffre’s book, while Buckingham Palace declined to comment.
