A 27-year-old woman who died near Romford on Saturday has been named – as police arrest a fourth person.
Paramedics were called at about 5.30am to reports of an assault on Chadwell Heath Lane, but Zahwa Salah Mukhtar couldn’t be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 35-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of murder, while a 21-year-old and 22-year-old were detained on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Another 35-year-old was held on Sunday night – also on suspicion of assisting an offender. All four remain in custody.
Those involved are believed to be known to each other and detectives believe it’s an isolated incident.

Ms Mukhtar’s family said she was a “kind and loving person with high aspirations in life and her presence brought warmth to those around her”.
