England have made it through to the Women’s Euros knockout stages after hammering Wales 6-1.
The Lionesses went 4-0 up in the first half thanks to a penalty from Georgia Stanway and goals from Ella Toone, Lauren Hemp and Alessia Russo.
Their fifth goal came from Beth Mead in the 72nd minute, before Hannah Cain scored a consolation goal for Wales four minutes later.
Aggie Beever-Jones scored the sixth goal for England in the closing stages of the game.
The result means the Lionesses will play in next week’s Euro 2025 quarter-finals – while Wales are out of the competition, having finished bottom of Group D with zero points.
The home nations faced each other in the Swiss city of St Gallen, as fellow Group D sides Netherlands and France played in Basel.
