A woman has been charged with the murder of Izabela Zablocka who disappeared 15 years ago, Derbyshire Police have said.
Ms Zablocka, a Polish national, came to the UK in 2009 – and lived in the Normanton area of Derby.
She lost contact with her family in August 2010 when she was 30.
However, new information recently came to light and a murder investigation was launched a fortnight ago.
Officers have since found human remains – believed to be those of Ms Zablocka – in the garden of a property on Princes Street in Normanton.
Police have now charged Anna Podedworna, 39, of Boyer Street, Derby, with murder.
She was also charged with preventing a lawful burial and perverting the course of justice.
Podedworna remains in custody, and will appear at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
