A 13-year-old boy who died after being pulled from a canal has been named by police as Delvin Musakwa.
Emergency services in Exeter were called at around 4.35pm on Monday after reports a child had failed to surface after jumping in.
Police, fire and ambulance services attended the scene at Clapperbrook Lane East and gave the boy first aid.
Delvin, from Exeter, was taken to hospital in a serious condition and later died.

Acting Superintendent Chris Conway, of Devon and Cornwall Police, said: “The family are being supported by specialist officers after this awful and tragic incident.
“They have asked that their privacy be respected as they come to terms with their devastating loss.”
The force said the death was not being treated as suspicious.
