Owen Aaran Jones, 19, and Adam Watkiss-Thomas, 18, died after the crash involving a yellow Honda 125cc motorcycle on Wrexham Road, New Broughton, on Friday 21 March.

Mr Jones’s family described him as a “popular lad who had an impact on everyone he met”.

“Owen was known by his friends and family as the funniest and most loving person,” his family said.

“The loss of Owen as a son, brother, dad and friend will truly leave a hole in all our hearts.”

Mr Watkiss-Thomas was described by his family as “irreplaceable” and would leave “a massive void”.

“He was a handsome, bright and funny lad with funny comebacks. He had the biggest heart and made sure he looked after his siblings,” his family added.

Sergeant Katie Davies, of North Wales Police’s serious collision investigation unit, said the teenagers’ families were being supported by specially trained family liaison officers.

“We continue to appeal for witnesses to the collision which happened shortly before 11pm on 21 March, or anybody who may have been in the area around the time to contact officers,” Sergeant Davies added.

Officers are continuing their investigation and anyone with information is asked to get in touch with the force.
