The Princess of Wales has shared a series of portraits drawn by herself, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Pictures of the artworks were shared on Instagram to help publicise Kate’s Shaping Us campaign, which highlights how children begin developing social and emotional skills in early childhood.

The caption reads: “Drawing portraits with children can provide a moment of connection as you spend time looking at and focusing on one another, as well as being creative and – most importantly – having lots of fun together!”

While Kensington Palace has not confirmed which family member created each portrait – or who they are of – it appears the children have all drawn their mother.

The first image, in red, shows a figure with long hair and a shirt collar, as does the second, which features more colours.

The third is a portrait of a long-haired person sitting in an armchair.

The final image is the only which differs. It’s a chalk portrait of a young boy, possibly Prince Louis, with his eyes closed.

It’s not the first time the Wales family have shown their artistic sides.

Kate is a keen photographer and she’s been behind the lens for many of the official photos of George, 11, Charlotte, nine, and six-year-old Louis released over the years.

Earlier this month, the palace released a photo of the princess to mark World Cancer Day, which had been taken by Louis. Kate revealed she had finished chemotherapy and was “cancer free” in a video released in November last year.

In 2022, the Prince and Princess of Wales marked Christmas Day by sharing a painting of a reindeer with two robins by George.

William, Kate and their children are currently enjoying a half-term holiday, according to reports.
